07. Nov 2006 | 1 Comment

Clickriver BetaAmazon has launched a new service that will allow advertisers to place ads inside Amazon search results & product results pages.

If you are promoting electronic products or services, amazon.com coupons on your blog then Clickriver could be a very worthwhile investment to attract readers or buyers.

Clickriver Beta

There are any number of categories that you have the opportunity to advertise in ranging from:

  1. Travel
  2. Finance
  3. Investment
  4. Training & education
  5. Entertainment
  6. Insurance
  7. Healthcare & physical fitness
  8. IT assistance & consulting
  9. Photo printing & more

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the way sponsored links work, there’s no indication of what the CPC will be like but I can tell you that the service has no signup fee, you are in control of what you spend so I assume you will have a daily budget like Adwords.

The program is currently in beta stages & invitation only. You can request an invitation by heading over to the clickriver homepage.

If anyone has joined the beta & has any experiences why not leave a comment.

I tried to use the PPC amazon but with only a few categories it makes it difficult. my product doesn’t fit within any of the pre-assigned categories. I have a “build solar panels DIY downloadable kit”, but there isn’t even a “home improvement” cateogry. Any other ideas on how to market a product on amazon?
