The only con I see is that No “nofollow” sites are searched for, only “dofollow” sites (too many links from “dofollow” sites may result in a penalty for your site from Google). Notwithstanding , its a great tool.

Having the ability to quickly search for blogs in your niche to leave comments on is a real time saver. Thanks for the info.

Funktioniert das Tool auch für deutsche Blogs? Funktioniert es überhaupt? Geht das nicht in Richtung Spam.

It was originally an experiment but I use this software regularly now.

If if links are nofollow, spiders will still follow them to index your pages. Just not pass pagerank. So it's an important tool for me to spider new & relevant sites.

It's not perfect, but it's heaps better than similar tools I've tried :)

Hi there

Thought I would poke my head in and answer some of your suggestions
..

1. I don't honestly know how feasible this is, we are going to be looking at it when my programmer returns from his new year holiday.

2. As Stewart said I do already have a tool that searches Blogger blogs, http://www.bloggerwizard.com. It isn't something that we can integrate, Blogger wizard allows you to look for blogs that don't have captchas and aren't managed in anyway. There is a video on the sales page which shows more detail.
I am going to be running a special on this for comment hut owners this week hopefully.

3. the blogs returned are the ones that are considered relevant by google.

4.Mass delete - just right click on one of the blog urls, select all and delete. You can do this before you export the info.

5. hmmm.. never seen that one, I will add it to the white board to look at.

6. It searches Google, we won't be adding technorati as they have a habit of throwing cease and desist letters at programmers who mess with them.

7. We won't be adding auto commenting as a feature, Comment Hut is not a SPAM tool and I don't want it to become one.

I am making some more videos showing people how you could use roboform and macros to speed up the commenting process and we are kicking around some other ideas for updates.. so keep a eye out for more from comment hut.

Guys, as far as I know all three major search engines respect the nofollow tag. If I were you I wouldn't waste my time on blogs that use no follow. Does this tool tell you right away whether a blog uses the tag or do you have to go look at the source code yourself? If not, that would be a good feature to ad.

Keep your comments useful please. Here I am doing the same thing you're talking about doing (getting a link to my site from a blog that doesn't use the no follow tag) but I am providing some constructive feedback. I'm not saying everyone should be goody goody whitehat. But just try and have a tiny bit of respect, please...

"Paul told me that Google is planning on announcing support for a tag on individual a href links. Any link with this tag will indicate to a crawler it is not necessarily approved by this page and shouldn’t be followed nor contribute weight for ranking. Our Search Champs suggested this and it has been a part of our plans since, we think it’s a great idea.

I quickly circulated this around our hallway and also to the MSN Spaces team – and we got quick agreement from both teams. Over the coming weeks, our MSNBot crawler will start respecting this new tag, and sometime after that MSN Spaces will start to support this as well (I expect Mike Torres and MC will have more details – the team has already made investments to help prevent blog spam to begin with). Cheers to Yahoo! and Six Apart for also supporting this movement.

Thanks for the update Stuart, you make some good suggestions, that I will pass on to Paul.

It will be interesting to see the results over a longer period of time.

Paul does have a tool that takes care of gaining backlinks from Blogger. It's one of Paul's first tools if I'm correct (he'll let me know if I'm not believe me)...

It's called Blogger Wizard
www.bloggerwizard.com

Very similar to Comment Hut but built just for Blogger blogs backlinks.

Thanks again for the initial feedback and we'll talk soon.
