I’ve been using broad match keywords for my campaigns. As they are so targeted by geographical locations I find it works pretty much as though they were exact matches! If your keywords are quite competitive or non-geo specified you can expect it to make alot more difference! But for really targeted keywords it shouldn’t matter too much! Just my opinion though! I’m sure someone out there could possibly prove me wrong!

Regarding negative keywords do these have to be entered into each adgroup and are they simple entered as
- free
- download
is there a space after the “minus” ?

Good Information. But i am confused about negative keywords. how can we use it in our PPC campaign? do we need to inform google about the negative keywords
while bidding?

If you use only phrase matches, will these be seen as exact as well?

If I’m not mistaken, broad match works like phrase match, but also includes the words rearranged. For example, the broad match:

online playstation games

would also match:

free playstation games online

So it’s important to use negative keywords if you’re doing anything but exact match.

Good information, I have also seen much better CTR and conversion rates when using exact match.
