I find that EPN has their stuff together these days. But I see that a lot of people are going through PepperJam cause they also let you promote eBay auctions.

Even though it’s a bit late @zoki you HAVE to have at least one post, you can’t really do it without a post. Basically, a post is the “body” part of the page. There might be some WP plugins you can use but I searched a bit and couldn’t find anything.

Also, great post, properly executed this can be a very good thing. I decided to dip my toes in the water and see what I can do with iTunes gift cards… we’ll see, I’m thinking I might broaden it to include ALL gift cards.

I’ve been trying my hand at affiliate marketing for almost a year now, and I can speak from experience that this works!! I’ve made more using the phpBay Pro plugin than all my other tactics combined!!

If you buy the phpBay Pro plugin, you should get Alan Lewis’ (2) plugins also. They’re only $15 each, but worth much more.

One is Search2Post and allows you to take user searches done on your site, and convert them into content for you site. The other is a plugin (PiggyBank) that allows constant monitorng of your eBay earnings. You won’t realize how much of a convenience this is until you have it.

You can use the pepperjamnetwork to sign-up to ebay .I had the same problem – i solve this by joining to pepperjamnetwork.

I have one question.How can i show phpbuypro auctions on category pages.Not in posts.

After you setup wordpress and phppro, should you have to manually add keywords daily to post new products/contents or the script can automatically add posts based on your keywords?

I would suggest that you not use the Top Level Categories plugin to remove the category from the permalink. If you use a nice keyword as your category, having a keyword filled permalink is a good thing.

Great post. Nice detailed description of the process.

I just finished my first niche site ( http://www.roadbikescheap.com ) using the phpBay Pro API.

It still isn’t indexed by Yahoo, and all the pages aren’t indexed by google yet, but I’m already getting decent organic traffic from the long-tail keywords in the listings.

From what I hear, the best strategy for driving traffic may be to just consistently add fresh keyword-rich content and not worry too much about anything else. Thoughts?

Has anyone doing these had problems getting google to index your site? Also, I’m working a niche where I’ve gotten over 4600 items posted in 4 days, so 4600 posts; is it possible that I might have tripped google’s spam filter?

Two sites setup in a week, nothing yet, but they’re brand new domains too. I’ve got everything down to a science on my setup, so once I start making alittle $$ to see that it works, I can start mass production on sites

I am really lost. I have started the categories and all is well on the front page, but the categories on the sidebar don’t link to anything (error message). I think it may be because I have no idea where the Category Titles conditional statements code goes (which template file?) …

James you’ll notice in the post I mention that the domain used to be a blog, so it wasn’t promoted from scratch, it did have electronic music related inbound links.

But in terms of signups if you get targeted traffic to these types of sites you can easily see 1-5 signups with ~200 uniques / day

I’m a little confused here. How did you go about making so much money in such a short amount of time? What were the traffic stats on this site since it’s a subdomain, I don’t think it had ANY traffic to begin with, so how did you go about getting signups in such a short amount of time?

I’m a little skeptical here, especially since I’m an SEO professional with years of corporate experience in building traffic to websites.

Hey Stuart, how do you have it where your categories only display like one item on the right sidebar for the category, then when you click on that item it takes you to all the items within that category? I’m having to list all my items within a category on my home page – not good for me. Thanks!

How do you get the images in your archive pages to show up next to the items? I like that idea, but am wondering how to implement it.

For instance I click on Audio Interfaces on your site, it lists all the audio interfaces with a picture to the right – how is that done?
