On my favorite forum (Where I live), each post has a Hey Mods link where posts can be flagged as spam, and off-topic. This allows a Mod to check the complaint. Spam is quickly removed by this technique.

It seems that there is no easy way for members like me to warn the forum caretakers about spam.
