I don’t know if Host Gator can "customise" the logs section of the cPanel installation, but if so, I suggest that FTP log analysis capability be added for AWStats. At present it is available only for Webalyzer.

The required awstats.ftp.domain.name.conf file is quite strightforward for Apache FTP logs, but it does require some specific parsing params and also some on/off display option settings. The one I’ve done for my own site works fine using LogFormat= "%time3 %other %host %bytesd %url %other %other %method %other %logname %other %code %other %other"
