Hello Everyone, First of all I’m glad to be a part of WHT and must say this is the ultimate forum which a person in Webhosting dilemma must visit. Being a no exception, I’d like to clear some of my queries due to which I’ve lost my sleep from last few days and sincerely looking forward to get some informative response in here. So my question goes like this:I created a country specific automobile forum on November 2008 with a free-host (Forumotion) but soon after a year when a quick growth in forum was noticed, I moved it to a vBulletin Software which is hosted with Just Host (Having a much better experience than the negative reviews I read!). Now, Our community is growing quickly with a every new sunrise and the size of database has shot up to 20+ GBs (!!). However, Due to an average number of monthly visits, The Bandwidth goes max. up to 5 GB which is quite acceptable.
I’m soon planning to install vBSEO on my forum but much afraid that if it takes more server resources even after li’l optimization, and my shared host (Just Host) shows any objection to upgrade on a bigger plan, I’ll be in between of no where. That’s why I’ve started a research for a cheap and reliable Managed VPS in advance, in-case of any mis-hap. But actual issue is that I’m extremely tight on budget and since my disk space is only shotting up damn quickly, I’m unable to find any VPS host which provides me lots of disk space so that my site can be easily accommodated in future with same host but unfortunately, Being a real newbie in web hosting industry, I’ve no idea when it comes to managing servers and performing some regular tasks etc, So my requirements goes bit high like I need a Managed Server (Linux) which is available with cPanel, Lots of Diskspace, and ofcourse some bandwidth. After reading reviews of Wired Tree, I’m keeping it as an option for their lowest VPS512 plan but again same issue arises as they are offering only 40 GB disk space which I’m sure my site will reach in within no time, Also can not afford to upgrade due to budget constrains which I’ve already cleared above.
Please advise and my sincere Thanks to all in advance!
Best Regards,
