Hello everybody,

We have been using BurstNET facility since January 2008. We got our first burstnet dedicated server through a burstnet reseller and we ordered a dedicated server directly from burstnet on July 2008 ( We still have this box up and running fine ! )

My overall opinion about burstnet is good :agree:

Let’s see in detail

Server Activation: Usually servers are provisioned between 2nd and 3rd day. VPS will be activated within 24 hrs. Quite reasonable time

Server Price : I’ve never seen price lower than BurstNET anywhere till this time. Still they maintain good quality.

Bandwidth : Enough bandwidth for me, I was allotted 2 TB for the first server. Recently they have upgraded all their plan to 4 TB bandwidth. BurstNET is not a premium bandwidth provider as far as I know.

Support Methods : I use only ticket support system. They offer phone support but it is paid. AIM chat is also there, but I always see him/her idle. May be because of different timezone.

Support Answer Time : Quite reasonable, I usually get replies within 30 minutes. Sometimes it will take more than 1 hour to get a reply for tickets. Reboots tickets are usually replied within 30 minutes

Billing : They used a billing system ( I don’t know the name yet ) when I joined them which was actually a waste IMO. But later they have moved to WHMCS which works perfectly now. They sent invoice before 25 days which is quite unusual. But still ok.

VPS : They recently started offering VPS using VePortal system. The price is damn cheap and VPS uptime is good. The problems we faced were due to VePortal bugs.

IP Addresses: Damn cheap price, I have never seen ips such low cost ! IPs are allocated within 24 hrs usually , Go with BurstNET if you plan to start VPS selling.

Internal Licenses: They offer cPanel,Plesk,DA etc license for cheap cost, $12.95 for cPanel and $9.99 for DA If I remember correctly

Addons: They offer Fantastico , Plesk Powerpack, Remote Reboot Port, Server level DDOS protection, Private LAN Port,KVM ( Paid services ) . They do not offer Softaculous as well as WHMPHP

Network : They had some network issues before an year but I don’t remember those issues affected my server very seriously. Later they have upgraded their network and now it is perfectly good and giving 99.9% uptime !

OS Reloads : They take fee for OS reload if the reload is carried out as per the user’s request ( other than because of hardware failure etc ) . However I remember they waived the reload fee a couple of times when our clients did something wrong with their servers , understanding that it was not intentional

Abuse Alerts : They sent abuse alert to the email id registered and allow 24 hrs to respond to the mail. If we are not responding then $50 abuse fee will be charged and the server will be suspended. They will also send another alert before they supending the server. I actually I got one such $50 invoice because I was unsure about their policy regarding this. Considering this fact, they canceled the fee as well and gave me a warning

We have many servers with them and we are one of their resellers. They are a budget dedicated server provider and I understand that they are doing their level best to serve the clients.

So, overall , everything seems good , I’ve recommended my friends to buy servers from burst and they all are enjoying the service.
