I have a horse business and have managed a website for it for several years. Now another horse facility nearby wants me to make a site for them and my husband’s company wants me to do one for them as well. I jumped the gun and signed up for a 30-day free trial with Homestead, got a call from them right away and they talked me into the $20 package once my free trial was over, and they went ahead and set up a domain name for me over the phone. Now I’m stressed about going ahead with the domain name because I’m scared I’ll be locked into it somehow with Homestead and after my research I think I made a big mistake. It sounds like HostGator would be a good choice for me, but I really liked Homestead’s design software because I could change every single part of the template to make the site look unique. I don’t know html so I feel like my options are very limited. I am very picky about design and the company my own site is with makes it impossible to make a good looking site (at least for me).
My other problem is my knowledge is limited and I like the all-in-one places that make it simple. How flexible and easy is RVSitebuilder for a beginner? It looks like I can’t replace some elements of the templates like I can with Homestead’s software. I could probably figure out how to make one without a template if the software isn’t too complicated. Thanks for any suggestions.
I would like to get started making horse-related sites for people and offering my marketing services with it, but I know I have a lot to learn so I’m feeling pretty beaten down right now. I think I’m pretty good at learning new software but I’m so overwhelmed with information I can’t even decide where to start. I’ve spent so many hours researching and am more confused than ever.
