host name?

I’m a complete moron when it comes to this and cannot find the answers anywhere.

I’m trying to setup hosting with a domain registered at godaddy.com. I was instructed to setup the name servers, then go to ‘host summary’ to set up the host and IP address. My problem is, what is my host name? There is a box to fill in host name, followed by .mydomainname.com. I’ve watched the flash videos regarding this and they were of no help.

Someone please come to this idiot’s rescue
