On Friday, December 11, 2009 4:18 PM when ordered a domain via Hostgator they automatic "subscribed" me for some sort of stupid service called Richcontent.

I immediately responded to sales@hostgator.com with the following.

REMOVE me from this rubbish and don’t autosubscribe your clients if you want to retain their trust.

Despite above Hostgator however debitted my credit card today for this service that I very clearly stated I don’t want and never activated anyway. (The subscription email said do this and that to activate your account)

1) Forcing an unwanted subscription on a client, 2) ignore his explit refusal for such service, 3) then debit his credit card anyway after a month and 4) then have the damn nerve to say sorry, you must follow specific steps to cancel something that you never subscribed to amounts to nothing more than fraud and theft.
