4 Reviews of HostV Web Hosting
I have used several web hosting companies since 1991. My experience with HostV was the awful one I ever had in my life. They do not have an own data center. They use FDCservers.net. Packet loss, my site was done three times in month. I complainted them and asked formy money refund. They denied it. I do not recommend to anyone this host by no means. |
I host half of my sites at http://www.websuperhost.com becvause of unreliable service from HOSTV. I liked the price and speed but service is keep going down… bad for customers and looks very unprofessional. If you host many websites all websites go down at the same time including control panel and you must wait for support to fix it. |
Aloof, ineffective support. Vague answers to my questions. They seemed as lost as I was. Thank goodness I dropped them within a few days. |

If I could leave 0 stars for reliability I would. My server has been down more often than it’s been up over the past few weeks. Continuous DNS errors that should have been corrected at setup, and now, supposedly problems due to scripts that I don’t even run.
The proposed solution? Pay to upgrade.
Nearly all of the sites I host are in development. Very, very little traffic. When I say very little, myself and a small team (less than 5 people) I have working on it. A maximum of 50MB of bandwidth used for all activities (sites, email), and one fully live site that’s pure HTML, using no database and no CMS.
If you care about reliability and want to ensure that your sites go live and stay live, I strongly recommend looking for a different host. I never had any of the resource issues mentioned at my previous host, who offered less bandwidth and less storage.
The price would be great if the server were properly configured and stayed up, but for all the problems and continuous drops in service it’s absolutely not worth it.
The support people are pleasant, but don’t seem to be effective at any long term solutions beyond suggested upgrades. It seems a bit bait and switch to me, but that’s a personal opinion. The frequent downtime and unreliability is a fact.
I hoped for a reliable host at a good price. The good price is all I got, but with the unreliable nature of the hosting I can’t say it’s at all recommended.
