how to asign a domain to a vps

soembody gave me a vps for trial
i set it up
it does have a dedicated ip
hosting os is windows server 2008

now everything works fine
i can enter the site with ip
but i could not find a way to asign my domain to my ip adress
my domain is registered to the godaddy
