Post Reply? Hey guys, A Dreamhost support member told me to come here to get help, I hope you guys can help me with this! I need to install the library libstdc++6 for a server that I’m going to be running and I need help installing and setting it up and all that. I don’t even know where to start! Here’s what the support member said: In reply to: The issue might actually be that the script requires version 6 of libstdc++. Since the toolchain on your server requires libstdc++5, we can not upgrade this for you. However, if you are willing to do so, you are welcome to manually install libstdc++6. I’m not quite sure which application actually provides this library though, so unfortunately I can’t help in that regard. However, if you ask around our forums: http://discussion.dreamhost.com http://forum.dreamhosters.com Other dreamhost customers might be able to help point you in the right direction. Also, this might NOT be the case. You will want to check with the servers developers and verify the version of libstd required (segfaults can mean a dozen things). Thanks guys! Dom
