Where are your servers located (Geographically)?

We have 4 data centers as of December 2008: One Wilshire in Los Angeles, CA; AIS in San Diego, CA; one in Riverside, CA; and Marquisnet in Las Vegas, NV.

What is your average support ticket response time?

This depends on ticket volume, but for the most part, our average response time is less than 4 hours.

Do your support staff work at the datacenter, or remotely?

Both, actually. We have a call center and business headquarters in Anaheim, CA, where our general support, sales, billing, and business development staff are housed, as well as Dedicated, VPS, and Shared technicians in every data center, and also remote support technicians who assist via email from all around the United States.

What is your average monthly uptime percentage (i.e. 99.9%)?

99.9%, which can be verified on our websites.

How do you communicate downtime, outages & hardware issues with your customers?

Planned downtimes are rare but necessary, so we email the customers as well as update our server status pages, Forums, and any other means we can provide.

How well do you handle Traffic Spikes (i.e. Digg.com)? Do you have measures to accomodate this or do you make the site unavailable?

This all depends on the server resources, plan type, and the kind of spike the customer sees. For the most part, even our Shared Servers can handle the Digg Effect, but if the traffic continues to weigh heavily on our shared server resources, we often suggest upgrades to VPS or Dedicated Solutions, which are meant for high-traffic and resource-intense websites.

What measures do you have in place to help users scale their hosting needs with demand?

On a Shared Node or VPS Node how many users do you tend to allow?

For Shared Hosting, we host around 300 customers per server, whereas on a VPS machine, we limit it to 23.

Some hosts offer Burst RAM & others prefer just to offer Guaranteed. Which solution do you offer & why?
