I mentioned that we all need to start out with a small shared hosting plan, whilst 1&1 fulfills these needs from a pricing perspective we feel like they fail to deliver on the quality of service, features & most importantly of all reliability. For US customers our servers are located in US while for UK customers the servers are based in the UK.

What is your average support ticket response time?

Our average support ticket response time is within 24 hours

Do your support staff work at the datacenter, or remotely?

Our customer support staff work remotely but we also have Admins who are working in the datacenter

What is your average monthly uptime percentage (i.e. 99.9%)?

How do you communicate downtime, outages & hardware issues with your customers?

Usually we send out a Newsletter to all affected customers if there is a hardware changes, server move etc that will be done on a particular server but for unexpected server outages customer may call directly the support hot line to report that said server down issue

How well do you handle Traffic Spikes (i.e. Digg.com)? Do you have

All Packages are given a monthly traffic and they have an option to set a limit for their Website traffic. Once they exceeded the monthly traffic allocated on that package website will still be up and running but there will be an additional charge given.

What measures do you have in place to help users scale their hosting needs with demand?

User can access the ordering site as it provides them the features provided in every packages that we offer or they may contact our support hot line that is working 24/7 to assist them on their needs.
