PhpMailer strange going-ons

I installed PhpMailer about 2 months ago and edited the config.php file to: define("MAILQUEUE_BATCH_SIZE",200); so that it would send out 200 mails per hour.
Today I went to send a fresh batch of emails and I noticed that PhpMailer was taking longer than usual to send the mails. So I went to look at the config.php file and it was reset to: define("MAILQUEUE_BATCH_SIZE",0); , so all the mails were being sent in one go! Luckily I managed to cancel the sending though a few mails went through, quite a few mails infact, too many that I was starting to worry, don’t want my hosting cut off because of this!
I wonder what happened here??? A few days ago I noticed in PhpMailer admin side that there was an update available though I didnt bother to update it at the time, today that update notice wasn’t there anymore…
Any input as to what might have happened here?
