I spoke with a tech rep last night because there was a problem with the server I’m on. It kept going down and httpd was failing when I checked the server status. I explained everything to her and pointed out the the CPU and Memory loads were higher than they normally are and the httpd service was failing. She told me nothing was wrong with the server. I asked her to please look at the server because something is wrong with it. A few minutes went by and she wasn’t responding. I asked why and then she says "Oh I’m looking into this.". I said okay. This girl then proceeded to tell me that the server load was only at 0.1% and 0.0% memory load. I told her that was my sites load on the server, not the whole server. She then asked me how to view the server status and services. :gatormad: Finally she got an admin to fix the server. She was no help at all. Bottom line, tech reps should know basic information. When I know how to access things they don’t, that’s a problem.
