Shopping for new paid hosting site.

I run about 3 simple websites with low traffic,
and one with simple e-commerce, and no fancy
scripts or much just a simple SQL database.

I am sadly searching for a new host for my 3
domains as I just got this message from my
current good provider that are closing down
due to the current "hard times".

Since I just recently forked over another "year" of dues
to my current host, only to be greeted with this nice email
with my morning coffee. At least I was given four weeks to
backup and transfer my files, instead of just a COLD 404,
at least that was nice of them (I heard horror stories in
the past, from other hosting companies failures before).

So I am carefully "shopping" around before I fork over
money to "host" my websites with a new hosting company.

I want to know what readers here think is the best place
to "shop" for a new "host", without fear of getting the
COLD 404 in the new future after "paying" to host my files.
