We are currently having a VPS with carpathia (have been with them since prohosters), I enquired with them. Also enquired with Bluewho as well.Both say it can’t be done in their hosting accounts

We basically want a split domain setup for email hosting. Split domain by itself is new to me, the term was introduced to me by Rackspace email hosting sales chat.

We want to configure an email setup where, 90% of the email accounts will be hosted in the webhost where the website is hosted and 10% of the email accounts will be hosted at a specialized email host like RS. i.e foo@mydomain.com will remain at the webhost and remain unchanged whereas foo2@mydomain.com will be migrated and hosted and used from Rackspace.

Does any webhosting setup allow easy or out-of-the-box configuration for this "split domain" requirement? any webhosts who support it? We would need a LAMP host
