TheNYNoc Interview

We asked each of the hosts on our database the same 10 questions:

Where are your servers located (Geographically)?

We have locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Texas.

What is your average support ticket response time?

Currently it is 6 minutes.

Do your support staff work at the datacenter, or remotely?

Both

What is your average monthly uptime percentage (i.e. 99.9%)?

99.9%

How do you communicate downtime, outages & hardware issues with your customers?

We communicate via email, our forum, and an offsite status page.

How well do you handle Traffic Spikes (i.e. Digg.com)? Do you have measures to accomodate this or do you make the site unavailable?

We have plenty of bandwidth available to clients who need it. (Multiple Gbps)

What measures do you have in place to help users scale their hosting needs with demand?

We have multiple cabinets for space to add servers and plenty of bandwidth to accommodate even the busiest of websites.

On a Shared Node or VPS Node how many users do you tend to allow?

On a shared hosting server, we allow roughly 75-100 clients. On a vps node, depending on the node specs, we allow roughly 10-15 clients.

Some hosts offer Burst RAM & others prefer just to offer Guaranteed. Which solution do you offer & why?

We offer guaranteed ram only because it protects other clients on the node from misuse by one client.

In 100 words or less, why should our readers host with you?

Your readers should host with us because not only are we a very fast growing company with a bright future, we have the infrastructure available to meet the growing demands of your websites.
