Great, all very well, and obviously something that needs to be done on a regular basis to keep up with the ever advancing technology BUT ………………….

One of my sites was on a server recently that was upgraded (at least thats the reason given) and all sorts of things went wrong with the forum. Error message bombarded my email and it was all down to the my sql apparently. Then it sort of cleared up but still getting the odd one. In between that the server refused to allow me to send internal emails on the email section of my site to fellow member(s). This was down to a configuration conflict or something. A week of hassle when a bit of forethought might have stopped the aggro.

Lesson: Dont upgrade a server unless you know what you are doing!! :gatormad:

Hostgator was 100% mark up for me, sorry but you have dropped to 98%.:nuhuh:
