All,
I need some help fast. I have been a customer of VPS since December. Initially everything was fine and I received quick replies to my queries when issues happened.I suffered a 20+ outage last month during which there was scarce updates and apparently not enough done as in the end it took the senior technical resources little effort to fix.
I have the ticket chain saved as a "web archive" and will post if the facts are questioned in any way.Quote:

uptime guarantee to Virtual Private Server customers. This guarantee includes the availability of accessing the virtual private server and network availability. Virpus Networks does not consider services within the VPS bound or elligiable to this policy (such as mysql, apache, FTP, etc), but only the availability of the VPS.
The root cause turned out to be due to a corrupt configuration file on Virpus’s end. Even though, the SLA clearly said availability of accessing the VPS, Ken refused to offer a partial refund stating that this was not a network outage.
Since I was generally happy with the performance and support, I did not contest and moved on.
Just yesterday morning, my VPS went down at 6am and has not been up since. I have not received any updates since 11am yesterday morning. The last update said there was a network issue with the central node.
I am desperate as they currently hold my databases and code hostage with no access to the VPS. The reason I am so angry about this situation is Ken has posted a special in the VPS Offers sections yesterday evening however did not have the time to provide an update within 24 hours. When I replied to that thread he simply had my message removed yet no update was provided to me at all.
Is anyone else on the same situation as I am? I was on a Xen based node. Please let me know. Is there an urgent contact number for Virpus? I had heard that there was such a number at one time.
