I’ve been facing a conundrum with this. I recently found a huge demand Asian product that young kids are into and nobody is really selling it here in the US yet. There’s spotty availability on ebay or amazon sometimes but no really clean distribution channel here in the US. And based on what all the parents I know are telling me all the kids are demanding this item for Xmas this year. So I’m not sure how to get these things to the customers. It’s too late to take physical inventory and distribute myself because I won’t have time before the holidays. And throwing up some simple affiliate pages won’t necessarily work because the availability of these items at third party sites is very spotty. So anyway, this process of researching this niche has really opened my mind to international markets – not just what is selling in other countries, but what people want HERE that is only available abroad. Still need to wrap my head around it all.

Great info, just have to be careful and do a lot of research on the product you choose or you will spend fortune on ppc if it is a highly competitive market.

BTW, I wanted to mention that I have looked into exactly what you mention in this post. The biggest problem is shipping costs overseas now. It’s just not cost effective unless I can get someone to warehouse my products overseas.

FWIW, I’ve found the Australian PPC market very tough for anything that requires a credit card/sale. UK and Canada have always converted pretty me well for me though.

Where to find affiliate programmes? Off the top of my head I’d say CJ or the actual company site (but they probably won’t let you register domains using their trademarks)…
