The same rules don’t apply to blogs though. Because with the sale, of course, he no longer posts. The author is a HUGE part of a blog and the buyer base is also limited because the buyer needs to know the niche.

I could certainly see how it would sell for $20,000. I think that if he did the right pitch he could sell for even higher.

If it pulled in $1,250 in April and still has room to grow in the niche – $20k may be a steal. Most purchase a site of that size with a 12 month investment or more so you could figure anything within $20,000 to $30,000 is still reasonable.

That being said, I see that he sold for $13,000. That’s a shame, he could have held out for so much more. (this is coming from a guy who sold a site for triple that two months ago).

I’m also going to be watching the sale of NBB very closely. I’ve thought it to be a great blog (and I’m still subscribed to it), though to be honest it’s gone a bit downhill lately. But I guess that’s because he’s been getting ready for the sale.

I don’t see why someone would pay $20,000 for it, though. We’ll see.
